Cheap Cloud Storage What is a Cloud Server

 What is a Server Briefly:

The party that stores, organizes and presents flow information in the Server / Client architecture is called a short server.

Server (Server) is a general name given to computer units in computer networks that can be accessed and shared by clients (users) or run some services (FTP, E-Mail, Web Site). According to the server computer services, if it publishes a Web site, it is called Web Server, if it publishes mail services, E-Mail Server or Database server.

The server simultaneously and contains larger storage areas. For example, as Hosting.com.tr, we use hardware with 2 Intel Xeon CPU, 128 GB ram and 4 TB SSD disk to publish 1000 sites.

These resources are sufficient for many sites to fulfill requests made to these sites. If such commercial commercial applications will not work in our home, it will be unnecessary. Those who read in the rest of this article can read for a long time.

What are the server types?

As mentioned above, server types are named and separated according to the services they offer. As there are separate servers for these services, the same server can usually broadcast Web, Email or database services together. File Server: It is the name given to the server computer where the files used by the users on a network are shared.

Database Server:

Servers created to provide database services. Clients can use a variety of SQL statements depending on the authorization granted on the database servers. For example, SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle are the most well-known database servers. Web Server (Site Publishing Server): Responsible for storing web pages on the Internet and sending these pages to users who make requests

 Proxy Server:

It is an intermediate server used during Internet access. The computer that will access the internet logs out through the proxy server. Thus, a page that is visited a lot is cached in the proxy server and sends the web page from the cache to the requesting computer, increasing the access speed.

DNS Server:

They are used to store the records and domain routing in the Domain Name System. When we need IP address information for a domain on the network, we can find it by querying it through the DNS server.

 SMTP Server:

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, the service that is a simple mail transfer protocol, carries out all mail inbound and outbound traffic, mail communication between servers. When we want to send or receive mail, we can do it by SMTP Server.

Server Hardware Types? Server Computers, on the other hand, are produced in two different forms according to hardware types. In general, the entry level server hardware is in the form of ATX chassis or Tower Type that we use in our homes.

This form has low electricity consumption and is more suitable for use in areas where air conditioning (cooling) is not critical. As you can imagine, servers are prone to heat due to their intense processing capacity.

Ifthe space is narrow and the number of servers is too high, then Rackmount (Horizontal) cases offer more suitable operating performance. These cases have powerful fans to release the cool air they take from the front from the back. The entire case is homogeneously cooled from front to back, ensuring continuous operation and high performance.

These computers are designed for long-term 24/7 operation and have higher electricity requirements than normal. As a result, if many servers will work together because they emit more heat, they will have to be cooled with air conditioning systems.
